Real Plants?
Mullah Nasriddin used to water his plants
daily.
He would bring the container near the plants and pour from it.
But no
water would come out. But he kept pouring.
His neighbor Ameen saw
Mullah Nasriddin
doing this strange ritual often.
One day
Ameen
went over to
Mullah Nasriddin
and asked, "Excuse me,
Nasriddin
, I
see
you giving water to these plants everyday but I don't see water
coming
out from the container. What is this practice?"
Mullah Nasriddin
smiled, "Let me tell you a secret, these plants are
plastic."
Ameen
is more confused and asks, "Then why is there any need of
pretending to water these plastic plants?"
Mullah Nasriddin
responds, "So that people would think these are real
plants."
